At the Southeast Conference last week, the southeast chapter delegates met and voted on the Member of the Year, Maritime Person of the Year AND Port of the Year.

We are extremely delighted to announce that Captain Allen L. Thompson, Jr. is the recipient of this year’s Southeast Member of the Year Award.  Congrats Captain Thompson.

Other award recipients are:

Maritime Person of the Year is Bill Johnson, from the Port of Miami and the Port of the Year is Port Canaveral.  Congratulations to both Mr. Johnson and the folks from Port Canaveral.

The Southeast delegates also voted on SERAC VP, Secretary & Treasurer positions, please see the results below:

Dennis Thompson will remain the VP for the Southeast and will carry a term of one year.

Brendan McMillan will remain the Secretary for a two year term.

And congratulations to Ron Kobosky who was voted as the Treasurer and will also carry a term of two-years.
